LOW-CARB ONION RINGS
Gluten-free, Ketogenic-friendly, Paleo-friendly, Dairy-free
2 large sweet onions peeled and thin sliced
1 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 tsp vanilla protein powder
1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Mix your nutritional yeast, protein powder and sea salt together.
Spray your onions generously then coat them with your nutritional yeast and protein powder mixture.
Air Fryer Method (recommended):
Place in your air fryer at 375 F for 15 minutes. Every 6 minutes, open the tray, shake your onions and spray them with a little more coconut spray.
To use a large non-stick frying pan, lightly spray the frying pan with coconut spray. Set your heat on medium. Follow the same instructions to prep your onion rings.
Place them in your pan and cook them until they are golden and crispy, making sure to lightly spray them with the coconut spray a few times as they turn golden and become softer.
